For all those of you that don't know about ShopYourWorld.com, here's a quick intro, many a time, you wanna order some product from some foreign country because that product is not available locally in your country, and how many times have you come across the bold red colored text that says:
"This Product Cannot Be Shipped To Your Country".
If you keep looking to buy stuff from abroad, pretty often. I was very frustrated every time Amazon showed me that message. One day while looking for ways to smuggle products into my country (hehehehe Evil Laugh) I came across ShopYourWorld.com. Well, they don't smuggle products, but they sure as hell ship them well.

Bad Experience and Good Experience
Short and Sweet Brief on SYW
I recently ordered from ShopYourWorld.com and I thought I'd post my experience. As you probably noticed from the title and the images above, I had a fantastic experience with SYW.
I ordered a product from Americarx.com last time for 5 qty as Amazon.com didn't ship that product to India, I ended up paying a total of INR 4000 for the package to reach home. Here's the breakup of that amount.
Total 4000: 1800(Product Cost )+1200(Shipping Cost)+ 1000(Custom Duties)
I got 5 qty of that product for that amount.The images above represent the package I got from AmericaRX.com, I don't blame them, the customs department broke open the box to see what was inside, and I received the box in a terrible condition, the product inside was safe though.
Here is how much I paid with SYW. I ordered the same product via SYW Amazon. I ordered 9 qty this time.
Total 4500: 5100(Product Cost incl Shipping) - 250(Additional item discount) -350(ICICI Bank discount) + 0(Customs Duty, Shipped as duty free gift)
I got a qty of 9 for this amount.The last 2 images show the package I got from SYW, and I think their service is fantastic. There wasn't a scratch on the box and no customs guy touched it.
Now looking at the numbers and quality, anyone in their right minds would shop from SYW.com
So head on over to ShopYourWorld.com and shop away.

Of Late, their service quality is degrading,items are taking too long to ship.
I ordered a couple of items with priority shipping, and paid extra to get them quicker, but they took over a month to be delivered.
For Priority shipping, items are delivered in 5-7 working days.
For regular shipping, items are delivered in 10-12 working days.
If I've paid for priority shipping, it means I want the item fast, they simply refund the priority shipping amount after they fail to deliver it on time.
They still offer a great service, but can improve on this aspect.

I just went to Google Maps, looked for some university where my cousin stayed, typed in that US address along with Zip code and Voila. It's really simple.
I had a horrible experience with them. They charged me Rs. 7758/- for an SLR camera lens and sent me a book labelled as a lens. Upon complaining they promptly sent their courier to pick up the item but it has been 3 weeks since then and they have not sent me the item I paid for.
In my book, they are a bunch of crooks.

I've ordered tons more products from them since this post and I'm happy. I've not had any after sales services so I can't comment on that.
Yes, they do charge a lot their prices are higher, but we're speaking of importing items, that is expensive.
If the fact that 04 out of my five purchases made through SYW were seriously bungled did not swear me off them. Blatant lying, continually reneging on promises and extremely POOR customer support has ensured that I would never dare to do business with these unprofessional people again. Intend dragging these people to consumer court in the coming week. People you have been warned. Documentary proof of misdemeanor if required can be provided by writing to me as pjashish at the rate of gmail dot com so that no that no one else ever has to go through the harassment I went through.
Beware when you buy multiple items from SYW. They will not ship 1 item & load all the discounts that you got on the entire order on that 1 item & refund you a fraction of the amount you actually paid.

The discounts are applied automatically,there is nothing we need to do for it. If we order multiple items, it is automatically applied at checkout.

I brought a Kindle fire valued 12800 INR from the online ecommerce portal ’www.shopyourworld.com’ on 18th Dec 2011. The payment was made by a Standard Chartered
Bank credit card. I also received a confirmation of order (Order no-201112-21387) on my email. The delivery timelines mentioned in their website was 8-12 days. However, after repeated chat with their customer care executives on different occasion I came to know that they don’t have any clue about my consignment. I have contacted them 6-8 times and each time I was provided with some bizarre excuse. I have all the chat transcripts. When asked about their physi cal location in Mumbai, they said they are not supposed to tell their customer about their physical location and it’s against their business policy.
At last on 12th Jan I was forced to cancel my order. This time also I received a confirmatory email from them. In that email the reason for cancellation was quoted as ‘Shipment is not getting fulfilled in time’. Also in that mail, it was written that the money will reflect in my account with 12-15 days. However to my horror the transaction is still not being reverted from the merchandise account.
On twice occasion, when I asked about the order status (actually meant refund status), they said I can expect the delivery by 18th to 25th Feb. When I asked that how I am supposed to expect the delivery when I cancelled it on 12th Jan, they said sorry the answer was meant for somebody else.
All this incident proves that they are in no mood in returning my hard earned money. I have also made a request to my credit card company to divulge the address of ‘Merchandise’. Once I get a confirmation, I will definitely lodge FIR in Andheri police station.
By the way it is not Singapore based company and runs by some Mr. Shah, operates from Chakala, Andheri (East), Mumbai.
One last reminder to everybody, please don't buy anything from Shopyourworld. They are really crooks.

My first ever online shopping was HORRIBLE!At SYW I was not able to shop properly.The customer service team was very Pathetic Horrbile in assisting me at every step.Long wait at chat no CS phone working and finally did not knew anything about my orders that i placed to them.No iteams received no refund. You can never ever consider me to be a loyal patron of your site . I’m NEVER going to recommend Shop Your World to any of my friends! Big time Morons are shah'family running shopyourworld
i just came to know from a reliable source that Shah's wife cut his d-ick and he needs a lot of money to put back his shlong. he is siphoning off money from shopyourworld.com and therefore people like us are losing money.
i am going to offer him a spare d-ick (my dog just died) and maybe this will get him back to his senses.
