My Experience with Chinese Vibram Five Fingers

I recently saw Tim Ferriss(author of NY Times Best seller The 4- Hour work week) talking in a interview about his shoes, he wore a unique kind of shoes I'd never seen before and said they were called Vibram shoes, (Google CEO, Sergey Brin was also reported to be seen in these more details here). I immediately looked them up and found out about them, they're not available in my country. I kept looking to find a Chinese site that sold these shoes and when I contacted them about the price I was shocked to hear that it was only $50($85+ real) and even cheaper if I ordered in bulk.

I didn't need it in bulk but I really liked these shoes and wanted to get them so I ordered 2 pairs from another site that accepted CC payments called AliExpress. I paid $110 for 2 pairs of VFFs. They sent me the shoes and it took 10 days to reach me in India, the shipping was free.

It was packed neatly and when I opened the package there were the shoes with original looking boxes and manual and everything. One can't tell if they are duplicates unless one knows specifically. 

2 days after I received them and started using them one of them has developed a small tear along the seam.

So what would I say about these Chinese fakes of VFFs? I don't recommend it to anyone as I believe that we pay for quality, if I'd paid $30 bucks more I'd have got the originals and warranty and customer support. But Vibram should really spread out and ship internationally as their shoes are in such great demand.
